Revised submissions may be made through the EasyChair conference system. Instructions and access are here. Deadline: July 1st 2009.
Student Papers
PhD students who wish to be considered for a bursary or award and who are
the principal author of a submitted paper should indicate this by choosing
the appropriate option during the electronic submission procedure.
There will be up to 5 bursaries each worth £500 (c. €600) available for PhD
students who are the principal author of an accepted paper. To be eligible
the student must attend the conference; be a paid-up member of ESSA; and not
have access to other sources of funding.
Separately, all PhD students who are principal authors will be considered
for a “Best Student Paper – ESSA 2009” award at the conference.

Special Topics
Although papers on any subject relevant to social simulation are acceptable,
there will be a number of special sessions during the conference. These are as follows:
If you want your paper to be programmed into a special sesssion then indicate this when submitting this by choosing the topic from the list
in the EasyChair submission pages. Your paper will be evaluated in exactly the same way as all other papers at ESSA 2009, but will be scheduled
within a session for that Topic.

Format for Submission
We prefer papers to be submitted as a PDF file for the reviewing stage.
If this is not possible, a Microsoft Word format file is acceptable. The
format for submission is according to
LNCS style.
A template for preparing submissions using Microsoft Word can be downloaded from here. Remember submissions must be
be anonymised.
Publication
All the accepted papers will be included in the ESSA 2009 electronic proceedings.
The best accepted papers will be published in a post-proceedings.
