Kirstie Hatcher

Kirstie manages the ANTICIPATE project, as well as CECAN Limited, the commercial arm of the CECAN project. She has worked at the University of Surrey for a decade project managing a range of research grants and internal networks to support academic research. She joined CRESS in July 2015 to manage the Evolution & Resilience of Industrial Ecosystems (ERIE) project.
She has previously project managed grants funded by the EPSRC, the European Commission and the Technology Strategy Board (now Innovate UK). She has managed internal University of Surrey initiatives and supported strategic partnerships in the areas of Energy, Space and Water. She has project managed the University of Surrey's Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) which aims to exploit EPSRC research in collaboration with industry, hopefully bridging the ‘valley of death’ from research to commercialisation. Prior to Surrey she has worked in e-learning, the automotive industry and corporate communications.
Kirstie is a PRINCE2 qualified Practitioner, with experience in event management, bid writing, finance and project administration. She has an MA in Fine Art and is currently teaching her young son potato printing.
