Julia Schindler
After her graduation in mathematics in Bonn in 2005, Germany, Julia Schindler joined the international graduate school in development research at the Center for Development Research in Bonn. She there completed her PhD in agent-based modelling of land-use change in Northern Ghana in 2009, preceded by an extensive field trip to the study area. She then had a postdoc position at the center until 2012, where she was responsible for the ecology course of the graduate school and worked on further topics. She is currently supervising three doctoral students in the field of agent-based modelling and has been giving several courses in the same field. In late 2012, she has decided to leave the center to dedicate more time to own ideas and and take time for visits.
