I am a research fellow at CRESS, working on the EU Horizon 2020 funded project, ISABEL: enhancing sustainable biogas communities through social innovation. My research interests are in bioprocess modelling, community energy and open source hardware.

I have a background in chemical engineering (MSc from Politecnico di Torino and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya) and in sustainable development (Master from Università di Torino). I have obtained a PhD in process, environmental and material engineering from the University of Leeds, where I researched the modelling of anaerobic digestion of organic wastes and the integration of anaerobic digestion with other renewable energy technologies.

I worked as a technical advisor in an international cooperation program in the Andes of Peru, developing and installing digesters for small farmers. I am part of the LEAP partnership, which is innovating the food waste recycling in urban areas through micro anaerobic digestion and urban farming.
