Aimie is a Research Fellow with an academic background in Environmental Psychology.

Her research focuses on social practices around energy use, psychological mechanisms underlying spillover effects (e.g., compensatory beliefs, licensing effects), and energy transitions (e.g., how people adapt to living off-grid).

Previously Aimie worked as a Research Associate at the University of Bath on the HEAPD project. Aimie holds a PhD from the University of Sheffield. Her thesis is entitled: “Little green lies”: Exploring compensatory beliefs within the environmental domain. While at the University of Sheffield, Aimie became a founding member of the British Environmental Psychology Society (BrEPS).
