TELL ME: Modelling communication and personal behaviour during an epidemic

The TELL ME project researched effective communication to promote protective behaviour (such as hand hygiene or vaccination) in the context of influenza epidemics. CRESS has been responsible for developing a prototype planning tool, in the form of an agent-based model. This seminar will present the final model and results from key scenarios. Discussion will focus on how the prototype can be used, what the model reveals about the role of communication in managing epidemics, and what would be required for the prototype to be developed into a full planning model.
