Kirstie has worked at the University of Surrey for 8+ years project managing a range of research grants. Most of this time was been spent in the Research & Enterprise Support department. She then joined Sociology in July 2015 to manage the Evolution & Resilience of Industrial Ecosystems (ERIE) project.

She has previously project managed grants funded by the EPSRC, the European Commission and the Technology Strategy Board (now Innovate UK).  She has managed internal University of Surrey initiatives and supported strategic partnerships in the areas of Energy, Space and Water. She recently undertook maternity cover for  the University of Surrey's Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) which aims to exploit EPSRC research in collaboration with industry, hopefully bridging the ‘valley of death’ from research to commercialisation. Prior to Surrey she has worked in e-learning, the automotive industry and corporate communications.

Kirstie is a PRINCE2 qualified Practitioner, with experience in event management, bid writing, finance and project administration. She has an MA in Fine Art (Brighton) and will be (hopefully) using any time away from the CECAN and P2P Value projects to start up her art practice again, entirely for pleasure. She vaguely recalls she painted, took photographs and made text pieces with a focus on interaction in work spaces. More recently she has branched into print making and taxidermy (not together…).
